GARDEN WASTE COLLECTION

The final garden waste collection for 2024 wil be on Tuesday 3rd December.

THE TRAVELLERS' SITE UPDATE

The following message was issued by the chairman on November 6th regarding the travellers' site.

Over the last 2 days I have been in touch with Jacob and separately Sedge Funding who are still the legal title holders of the land.

We have agreed that we will buy the triangle of land from Sedge Funding for £25,000. They will then pass the money on to Jacob. That is between them and not our problem. The land will be registered to the Village Hall Trust.

We will hold a meeting in the Village Hall at 1830 next Tuesday the 12th November. Please come along with any questions or suggestions.

With this in mind we will soon be calling in the pledges people have so kindly made, probably once it is all in solicitors hands, these will be payable to the Parish Council account, details to follow.

The pledges are enough to cover the purchase with some left over to cover solicitors fees, fencing and making good etc. Kitching Walker will act for us as Solicitors.

Mick Winterbottom
